Hello and welcome to the Home Page of Sonicism

18th November 2005

Many Thanks to all of you that have written to me sending your encouragement and thanks for Open-sourcing Vintage Vocoder.
Also thanks to all for putting up with the serial code problems and sorry to those of you that I haven't had a chance to reply to about this.

It was quite a leap of faith to release this code under an Open-source licence after spending so much time and money developing it as a commercial product. So far I must say I'm very happy with the result. Since the news headline was posted at KVR, the Vintage Vocoder has shot up the rankings in Source Forge to nearly within the top 200 projects (not bad out of 106134) I've had a cash donation from a very kind soul and best of all I've had a rather talented Russian VST developer volunteer his services (and in my experience these guys really know their DSP and Math).

Anyhow, hopefully the following news will set your weekend off on the right foot -

I've released Sonicism Vintage Vocoder 1.03 build 1.
This release has the copy protection completely REMOVED!
Finally, as all good software pushers say - remember to tell you're mates!

Vintage Vocoder 1.02 build 1 is now released as Open-source under the GPL public license.
