Darren Woods - Business Development

Darren has over 20 years experience in IT, from working on helpdesks and 2nd line support, to business analysis, PRINCE 2 project management, training, and client management.

Darren has worked in various countries around the World, evolving his experience of computing and IT. Before founding enCircle in 2004 with Tom, Darren had various consultant roles with major blue chip companies such as Astra Zeneca, British Gas, Vodafone, and other international telecommunications companies. 

Darren has studied with many 6 sigma masters and process consultants over the past 10 years, and has a keen understanding of the Business Process Management paradigm. He is evangelical about the benefits this shift in software development will have on the World of ICT.

Tom Taylor - Technical Director

Tom studied Electronic Engineering at Keele University before embarking on a career as a software developer. Prior to founding Encircle Solutions he worked around the world as a Broadcast Technology Expert providing consulting services to organizations such as Philips-Thomson, the BBC, ITN and the U.S Government

He is an expert Java programmer, with roots in real-time embedded C++ and distributed control systems. He has worked on many different kinds of large scale development programmes using Agile Development methodologies. He is a strong advocate of the latest scripting and web development technologies, blending the low level code with flexible XML standards such as XSL.

Tom is now heading up enCircle's Cloud Strategy, which involves migrating the enAct BPEL engine and associated framework onto hosted virtual servers. This has introduced him to the latest Hypervisor technologies and other cutting-edge developments.


Vishal Nathu - Business Analyst

After studying Economics at University, Vishal worked for Loughborough University in their ICT Service Desk team. This included event and incident creation, as well as problem management utilising ITIL principles. 

Vishal was the Lead Business Analyst for the Human Resources project at Norfolk Constabulary and has been given excellent feedback by customers who were delighted with his communication, training and process configuration skills. With detailed and practical experience of ITIL in a University setting, Vishal is often the key to success of any business process project.



James Skevington - Technical Support Manager

Before joining enCircle,  James studied Music Technology at Leeds Metropolitan while gaining 5 years retail and technical experience. He then went on to set up fyberoptik.com.

At enCircle he is responsible for the business development of the IT Pitstop and establishing the IT Pitstop brand at Loughborough University and Nottingham Trent University.

James is the in house graphic design artist for enCircle, creating posters, websites, and all our of our graphic needs.


Alan Chapman - Technical Support Analyst

Before joining enCircle, Alan studied Telecommunication and Computer System Engineering.  Alan has applied the skills he learnt during this time to solving the challenges of hardware and software maintenance.

Alan now manages operations at the Loughborough University branch of the IT Pitstop.  As a qualified PAT engineer, Alan ensures all repairs carried out by the IT Pitstop are conducted to industry standard and complies with applicable health and safety laws.







Marina Carter - Financial Controller

As well as ensuring the smooth running of enCircle's finances and administration, Marina is a practising Meridian Therapist and Holistic Healer - bringing that much needed Zen influence to the office environment.
