With a business process approach to open source, you can clearly define your business logic within BPEL (The industry standard for all BPEL engines). This enables the underlying, open source software, to have no bearing on the Intellectual Property Rights that make up your operational support systems, and which you encode into BPEL.

This also removes any vender ‘lock-in’, as your organisational memory is available in a standard format, executable in any BPEL engine supporting the standard (E.g. Microsoft BizTalk, Oracle, etc...).

You can even license your process as a best practice within your industry, and through our technology partner program with VMWare, we can distribute this potentially valuable product to many other industries.
